I am a bit fascinated by these huge ugly birds specializing in dead rotten meat, or should we say any rotten or decomposed items on the savannah. When the predators are done the vultures come in and finish the work. This day we where at the Mara River where the river bend and the current wash up all the dead wildebeest that have drowned during crossing further up the river. There was a feeding party at the shore and many of the birds had eaten so much that they had trouble getting of the ground. There where probably many hundred vultures in this small corner of the river.
