The cliffs above lake Michelson has a vertical drop of around 300 meters. On the edge of the cliffs you see Amedeo and our porter Mwangi. The night before had been clear, you could actually see the milky-way with the thousands of stars simmering above. The clear sky also meant that the temperature fell to close to minus 20 Celsius in the night. So walking the sunshine that morning was just what we needed to warm up our stiff bodies. .
