The hippo’s plunged into the water as we approached the river
bank. They looked upset as if we had interrupted their midday slumber.
In the water they made plenty of noise blowing water-air trough their
noses to display their displeasure with our presence on the opposite
river bank. Finally they calmed down and we sat in the grass and shared
our packed lunch. A beautiful afternoon at Mara
river.
